Who are the architects for Extreme Makeover?

Villarruel Architects, Inc. was recommended and ultimately selected by ABC television to design two homes on one lot for a very lucky family in South Central Los Angeles. The Anderson Residence called for the complete demolition of an old dilapidated structure in order to make way for a brand new two-story house as well as a completely customized ADA accessible one-story guest house with an attached 4-car garage. Contrary to the shows premise that the home is designed in a few minutes by a group of actors, actually it took us one month to design, prepare construction drawings, and obtain the building permit for this project. This project was very unique in that it came with some very special time-frame obstacles associated with filming a television show called 'Extreme Make-over Home Edition.' During the 7-day construction period we were on-call 24-hours a day to answer questions from the various contractors and TV producers and were also physically involved with the construction.
