Description:
This project for a new Outdoor High School Swimming Facility with Associated Restroom / Locker / Storage Building, designed by Villarruel Architects, Inc. including a new 2,000 square foot building including Boy's and Girl's restrooms w/ showers as well as Boy's and Girl's locker rooms. The new building also includes associated equipment rooms and storage rooms as well as ample space for pool filtering equipment. A new 25 yard wide x 35 meter long competition grade swimming pool with surrounding 30 foot wide deck with 5 rows of bleachers was also a part of the project scope. The project required Ventura County Environmental Health approval because the school was on a septic system that needed to be phased out and the school connected to the new City Sewer. This new state of the art Swimming Facility has given a home to the competitive Rio Mesa High School Swim Team of Oxnard, CA.
