Description:
This project consisted of an existing 1,371 square feet of raw retail space that needed to be transformed into a fully functional family owned health department approved meat market. Being that this was an infill site, the design needed to cater to a single entry/exit point along the street. The program called for a food preparation area towards the front as well as a formal kitchen in the rear. A new kitchen, complete with new equipment and custom vent hood were installed. The design also included a new ADA approved bathroom and a large 10-door walk-in cooler. The services rendered by Villarruel Architects, Inc. will assist in giving a new home to La Vaquita Farm meat market in Sunland, CA.
