Description:
This project consisted of an existing 2,284 square feet of functioning retail space that needed to be updated and modernized into a fully functional family owned meat market. Being that this project is located in a strip-mall, the design needed to cater to a single entry/exit point. The program called for a new food preparation and serving area towards the front as well as a few new upgrades to the existing meat butcher preparation areas. The new kitchen equipment to be installed was, (3) deli coolers , a steam table with customized sneeze guard, and (4) stock-pot stoves with new custom vent hood. The new design elements made it necessary to install a new grease interceptor connecting all sewage lines before receiving health department approval. The services rendered by Villarruel Architects, Inc. will assist in giving a new versatile and modernized home to El Ranchero meat market in Panorama City, CA.
